Lightstep diagnoses anomalies and slowdowns, spanning mobile, monoliths, and microservices: best-in-class observability, at scale, for modern applications.
With Zenduty, you can receive alerts that are generated from Lightstep via phone call, SMS and email, set up automatic escalation of alerts and set up on-call duty scheduling for your ops teams. Whenever Lightstep triggers an alert based on a predefined condition, Zenduty will create an incident. When that condition goes back to normal levels, Zenduty will auto-resolve the incident.
You can also use Alert Rules to custom route specific Lightstep alerts to specific users, teams or escalation policies, write suppression rules, auto add notes, responders and incident tasks.
To add a new Lightstep integration, go to “Teams” on Zenduty and click on the “Manage” button corresponding to the team you want to add the integration to.
Next, go to “Services” and click on the “Manage” button corresponding to the relevant Service.
Go to “Integrations” and then “Add New Integration”. Give it a name and select the application “Lightstep” from the dropdown menu.
Go to “Configure” under your integrations and copy the webhooks URL generated.
Log into Lightstep.
Go to “Monitoring” and Select -> “Destinations”.
Then select “New message destinations” and create “New destinations”.
Give a label to “WEBHOOK” and set the request as “POST”.
Then paste the copied link in the “URL” field and click on “Notifier”.
Now go to “Explorer” and create “New Streams”.
Then go to “Conditions” and create “New conditions”.
Lightstep is now Integrated.
